What is barre fitness?

Barre is a high energy, dynamic class performed at the ballet barre to tone, sculpt and strengthen your entire body through a fusion of pilates and dance.

 

Enjoy fun, fast moving sequences performed to a pumping playlist to get the body burning and heart pumping, It's the perfect low impact workout anyone can do!

 

Lots of modifications offered and a focus on teaching correct technique formulated from pilates foundations to improve alignment, flexibility and strength. Best of all, its incredibly fun and addictive which is the key to staying consistent with your exercise regime.

What do I wear? - Whatever you feel comfortable wearing to exercise in! Grippy socks or bare feet, there will be space for you to store your coats and shoes upon arrival.

Do I need to have experience in dance? - Absolutely not! Barre is an exercise class and although we draw upon elements of ballet it is not a dance class and requires no prior experience!

Do I need to bring anything? - Just a bottle of water and flannel is you wish. 

Are the classes suitable for beginners? - All classes are suitable for absolute beginners whether you're new to barre or exercise in general. You're in safe hands.
Are the classes suitable for all ages? - Classes are suitable for ages 18+ however 16-17 year olds are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Can I attend if I am pregnant? - If you have a good level of fitness before pregnancy you are welcome to attend classes after your 1st trimester. Modifications/short breaks will be given during exercises not suitable during pregnancy.
Can I attend if I have an existing injury? - Please make us aware of any injury's via our online form when registering so we can advise you or offer modifications during class.
